Quick Food Post!

I just realized that with my birthday week came alot of food on the go and in resturuants, so I didnt really get much to document such eats, PLUS they were never too exciting. Im def. ready to get back on track now! So this morning I started with a bowl of what else?...

eats 007

  • 1/2 cup of oats
  • 1 banana
  • LOTS of cinnamon
  • raspberries
  • 1/4 cup vanilla soy milk

After breakfast I went out shopping with my friend Tina. Of course went to Target where all their cute v-day dishes were on sale, I didnt get any yet though, because Im hoping that after tomorrow they will be even cheaper and then I can stock up BIG time! :)

I happened to run into my mom at Target and we headed to the mall so she could exchange a purse that she had bought. My dad told her "it was the ugliest purse he had ever seen", but i liked it! So I told her to just sell it to me. What do you think? I dont think its ugly at all!

After shopping a little I came home and made up a quick wrap. Looks purty good huh?!

001

  • flat out wrap
  • red pepper hummus
  • turkey
  • lettuce
  • carrots
  • salsa
  • spicy mustard
  • also a pear on the side (not pictured)

Now I am off to hop in the shower and get ready for work! But first I wanted to tell you girls about the weirdest thing that happened with my workout yesterday! Ok, I usually LOVE to run, I actually prefer it to going to the gym because I like the scenery and all that, its just better than staring at a T.V. screen in a gym and it keeps me from getting bored. Well, I have been sticking with just going to the gym and doing the eliptical because of the weather. I am just not as hardcore as Miss Mica. But yesterday morning I woke up and it was so pretty outside I thought it was the prefect day to finally go for an outdoor run. Ok, here is the weird part. I got out there and just COULD NOT do it! I starting feeling really sick after only a mile! And usually when I run I try to get in at least 4 or 5 miles. Finally I just gave up and went to the gym. When I got on the eliptical though, I KILLED it. I was working harder on it then I ever have and didnt get tired at all! Have a just gotten more used to the eliptical? I hope not, because I would rather just run. What in the world is going on?! I thought some of you runners and/or work-out gals would be able to give me a little insight or advice on that one.

Hope everyone is getting a good start to their weekend. I know I am! :) Lots of Love, Ems.

Your body has probably adapted to being inside at the gym if you haven't been outside much recently. If you've only been doing elliptical (low impact), your legs might have been a little unhappy doing high-impact on the pavement this morning. After a day or two off from running, my runs are generally harder, not easier because my legs hurt and then I get fatigued faster.

...or it could have just been "one of those days". Hope you can get outside soon and enjoy some nice weather!

ohh I still haven't been able to run outside but I used to be able to just GO on the elliptical.

And I want you to go to bonnaroo too! You said you went before, did you camp or just drive out for the bands you wanted?

hey girl! omg i can totally give you some feedback on my elliptical and running experience! i have been running 5 miles a day for almost 2 years yet i've had to switch over to the elliptical as of late due to an injury- at first i was frustrated because i felt like i wasnt doing anything on the elliptical and i was not sweating--however i switched it to an interval routine and man o man i swear i sweat more on that than when i run! i think it's just important to do whatever makes you feel happy- personally i love a real sweat session so i can "de-stress" but i think exercise is all about what makes you feel good :) have a good night beautiful!

wow that wrap is STUFFED with great stuff! and oats are always lovely~
I love your purse, but I could never buy a white purse because in just a few days it would be totally stained with ketchup, soysauce, kimchi, etc!
